On 23 October 2025, the Innovation Fair 2025 took place in Brussels and online, bringing together key stakeholders from Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean to fuel innovation collaborations and accelerate solutions for shared global challenges.
A landmark in inter-regional cooperation
Organised by the European Commission in partnership with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA‑NEPAD) (on behalf of the African Union) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the event marked a pivotal moment in the implementation of the AU‑EU Innovation Agenda (2023-2033) and the New Pact for the Mediterranean, together with the UfM Research & Innovation Roadmaps.
With over 700 participants coming from 40 + countries, the event featured pitching sessions, a vibrant exhibition and matchmaking fair with 50+ booths featuring prototypes, live demos and interactive displays.
A shared commitment
This Fair underlines a shared commitment across the Euro-Med region to accelerate innovation, create inclusive growth and tackle global challenges together — in health, climate, digital transformation and sustainable agriculture. Bringing multiple stakeholders (policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, civil society) into one space strengthens the innovation ecosystems and bridges geographic, disciplinary and sectoral divides.
