- Clean energy transitions, with support for renewable energy technologies such as green hydrogen, solar PV, and offshore wind, alongside initiatives to improve energy system integration and resilience.
- Climate adaptation and natural resource management, particularly for coastal zones, arid regions, and water-scarce areas.
- Sustainable food systems and biodiversity under Cluster 6, with emphasis on agroecology, land restoration, and marine ecosystem protection—core to Mediterranean sustainability.
- Global health preparedness and digital health innovation, boosting collaboration to address both emerging threats and health inequalities.
The 2025 programme also strengthens international R&I cooperation, contributing to the EU’s Global Gateway strategy and reinforcing partnerships with regions such as Africa, the Middle East, and the Southern Neighbourhood.
