The PRIMA initiative has launched its 2025 calls for proposals, aiming to fund innovative projects that strengthen sustainability across the Mediterranean. This year’s programme focuses on climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, water management, and sustainable agriculture.
The calls support three key areas: water management using digital tools, precision farming for smallholders, and sustainable agri-food systems including plant-based innovations and better food traceability. Funding is available through two main sections—one supported by the EU and another by participating countries—totaling support for over 30 projects.
Proposals are due in July 2025, with more information available in the PRIMA Annual Work Plan. The 2025 programme follows PRIMA’s recent extension through 2027 and reflects the region’s growing commitment to collaborative solutions for environmental and food challenges.

Interested applicants can find detailed information, including eligibility criteria, in the Annual Work Plan 2025 available on the PRIMA website.
